Work on Dongbok Bukchon Wind Farm complete

The Jeju Energy Corporation on Monday commemorated the completion of work on the (동복 북촌) Dongbok Bukchon Wind Farm.

The installation of 15 two-megawatt turbines began in August 2014 and cost over 69 billion won.

The facility is expected to be able to create some 65,000 megawatts of electricity per year, which is enough to power 18,000 households.

The energy corporation now manages five wind farms: the other four are in (행원) Haengwon, (김녕) Gimnyeong, (가시리) Gasiri, and (신창) Sinchang.


제주에너지공사, 동복·북촌 풍력발전단지 준공

제주에너지공사의 동복과 북촌 풍력발전단지 준공식이
오늘 오전 제주시 동복리 현지에서 열렸습니다.

오늘 준공된 풍력발전단지는 지난해 8월부터 사업비 699억원을 투입해
2메가와트급의 풍력발전기 15기와 변전소, 관리동으로 조성됐습니다.

이로 인해 연간 1만 8천가구에 전력을 공급할 수 있는
6만 5천 메가와트를 생산할 수 있게 될 전망입니다.

제주에너지공사는 기존 행원과 김녕, 가시리, 신창을 포함해
60메가와트급의 풍력발전단지를 운영하게 됐습니다.
