Household loan growth outpaces national average
Up 26% in august to \214b

Local residents are taking out a lot more in household loans in recent months.

According to the local office of the Bank of Korea, household loans in Jeju in August amounted to approximately 214 billion won. That works out to annual growth of 26 percent, while the national average was just 7.7 percent.

The increase in local household debt is being attributed to a surge in mortgage loans and high demand for housing.


제주지역 가계대출 급증, 전국평균 상회

제주도내 가계대출이 크게 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국은행 제주본부에 따르면 지난 8월 도내 가계대출액은 2천 144억원으로 지난해 같은 기간보다 26퍼센트로 전국 평균 증가율 7.7퍼센트를 크게 웃돌고 있습니다.

특히 가계대출 가운데 부동산 담보와 신용대출이
크게 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국은행은 부동산 가격 상승과 주택구입 수요 증가로 인해
가계대출이 꾸준히 증가하는 것으로 분석하고 있습니다.
