First exports of locally-grown kiwifruit
100 tons being shipped to Singapore

Kiwis, which had been available to local consumers only through imports, will now soon be exported from the island.

According to Jeju Agricultural Research & Extension Services, 100 tons of domestically grown kiwis will be exported to Singapore by the Halla Gold Corporation. The fruit will be sold at 3,000 won per 400-gram pack, which is roughly on par with domestic prices.

The company said it would begin by exporting its red kiwis and eventually expand products to include its Halla-Gold, Jesi-Gold, and green kiwis.

수입만 해 오던 키위가 처음으로 수출길에 오릅니다.

제주농업기술센터에 따르면 한라골드 영농조합법인은
오늘 레드키위를 시작으로 모두 100 여톤을 싱가포르에 수출합니다.
가격은 400그램 한팩에 3천원으로 국내거래가격과 비슷한 수준입니다.

한라골드 영농조합법인은 오늘 레드키위를 시작으로 한라골드와 제시골드,
그린키위로 수출을 확대한다는 계획입니다.
