The eco trails at (절물) Jeolmul Recreational Forest will be upgraded to better accommodate the disabled and the elderly.

The (절물) Jeolmul Ecology Management Office announced it would be receiving 200 million won in state funds as part of the Korea Green Promotion Agency’s drive to make all paths equally accessible to the disabled and non-disabled.

To that end, all stairways and other obstacles will be removed and a 1.5 kilometer wooden deck will be laid down. Rest areas and benches will also be added. There are five forest trails at (절물) Jeolmul Recreational Forest. They stretch for a total of 27 kilometers.


절물휴양림, 장애·노약자 편의시설 보완

제주시 절물자연휴양림 탐방로가 장애인이나 노약자들이
쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 개선됩니다.

제주시 절물생태관리사무소는 산림청 녹색사업단에서 지원하는 무장애 나눔길 조성사업에 선정돼 국비 2억원을 지원받는다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 계단 등 장애요인을 제거한 목재데크길 1.5km를 조성하고
구간마다 쉼터와 벤치 등 편의시설을 설치할 계획입니다.
절물자연휴양림에는 장생의 숲길 등 5개 구간 27km의 숲길이 있습니다.
