New training program for cruise professionals
Curriculum includes management, safety, language training

Jeju has a new training program for cruise industry professionals.

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Jeju Cruise Human Development Center initiated the development program with a two-pronged goal of easing youth unemployment and developing the cruise industry.

Trainees were selected August 15th, and have since been studying cruise service management, safety, and foreign languages at Jeju International University. The program will continue through March.

The provincial office is also moving forward with a recruitment matching service to help program graduates secure work.

제주에서 크루즈 산업 전문인력 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램이 운영됩니다.
해양수산부와 제주크루즈인력양성사업단은 청년 실업 해소와 크루즈산업 저변 확대를 위해 전문인력 양성사업을 추진합니다.

지난 8월 인터넷 접수를 통해 선정된 교육생 15명은 내년 3월까지 국제대학교에서 크루즈 프론트 관리와 크루즈 안전교육, 외국어교육 프로그램 등을 수강합니다.

제주도는 해외 크루즈 선사와 일자리 매칭사업을 추진해 교육 프로그램을 이수한 수강생의 취업을 도울 계획입니다.
