Province approves purchase of former Tamna University campus

The provincial government’s public property deliberation committee has passed a proposal to purchase the former Tamna University campus, and the plan now awaits final approval by the provincial assembly.

Committee members passed the proposal last Friday, on the condition that the people living near the campus document their assent to the sale of the site and its buildings.

The ball is now in the assembly’s court.

The market value of the property, including the buildings, has been assessed at 41.7 billion won.

옛 탐라대 부지 매입안이 제주도 공유재산심의위원회를 통과해
제주도의회에 동의 절차만을 남겨두게 됐습니다.

제주도 공유재산심의위원회는 오늘(30일) 옛 탐라대 부지와 건물을 매입하는 내용의
공유재산관리계획 변경안을 지역 주민들의 동의 사항을 문서화하는 것을 조건으로
통과시켰습니다.

이에 따라 제주도는 옛 탐라대 부지를 매입하는 내용의 공유재산관리계획 변경안을 제주도의회에 제출할 예정입니다. 한편 옛 탐라대 부지와 건물 등에 대한 감정가는 417억원 입니다.
