Investment-based permanent residency policy changes take effect
Now limited to investments in tourism zones

New rules went into effect November first limiting the granting of investment-based permanent residency to non-Koreans who purchase real estate in newly-developed tourism zones.

Permanent residence will no longer be issued to investors in areas zoned for recreation or agriculture.

Businesses that have already obtained development approval in those zones may proceed under the same conditions as long as they receive full project approval by the end of the year.



부동산 투자 이민제, 관광지·단지로 한정

부동산 투자 이민제 적용지역이 이달부터 신규사업에 한해 도내 관광지와 관광단지로 제한됩니다. 제주특별자치도에 따르면 법무부는 이같은 내용을 골자로 한 제주특별자치도 특별법 내용의 법무부 고시를 1일자로 개정했습니다.

이에 따라 종전에는 관광단지와 관광지는 물론 유원지와 지구단위지역, 농어촌관광단지 등에 허용됐던 부동산 투자 이민제가 신규사업에 한해 관광지와 관광단지로 한정됐습니다.

하지만 이미 개발승인은 얻은 사업자는 종전규정이 유예돼, 내년 말까지 사업시행 승인을 받으면 부동산투자 이민제 혜택을 유지할수 있습니다.
