Province releases \4.1t budget proposal for 2016
Won administration seeking 7.42% more in funding than this year

The provincial government’s budget proposal has surpassed 4 trillion won for the first time.

The province has submitted its budget plan of 4.1 trillion won to the provincial council for consideration. That’s 7.42 percent more funding than it had to work with this year.

The budget includes 782 billion won for social welfare,
536 billion won for public administration, and 462 billion won for the agriculture and fishing sector.

The Won Heeryong administration also wants 34.9 billion won to build an environment and natural resources center in Jeju and about 30 billion more to spur developments in IT convergence, biotech, water-related industries, and other new growth engines.


내년 道 예산안 4조 1천억… 7.42% 증가

제주특별자치도 1년 본 예산안이 사상 처음으로 4조원을 넘어섰습니다.

제주특별자치도는 내년 예산안으로 4조 1천 28억 원을 편성해 도의회에 제출했습니다. 이같은 예산안은 올해보다 7.42% 증가한 것입니다.

주요내용을 보면 사회복지분야 7천 821억 원을 비롯해 일반공공행정분야 5천 367억 원, 농림해양수산분야 4천 625억 원 등 입니다.

특히 제주도는 제주환경자원센터 설치사업 본격추진에 349억 원, IT 융합과 바이오, 물산업 등 신성장 동력사업에 298억 원을 편성했습니다.
