Development restricted around site for new airport
New rules in place for next 3 years

The five villages in (성산) Seongsan surrounding the site chosen for Jeju’s second airport have been designated “development approval restriction zones.”

The provincial government says construction, farming, land alterations, stone quarrying, and other types of development are restricted in a 5.8-square-kilometer area that includes parts of (온평리) Onpyeong-ri, (신산리) Sinsan-ri, (고성리) Goseong-ri, (수산리) Susan-ri, and (난산리) Nansan-ri. The restrictions will stay in place for the next three years.

Complaints regarding this designation may be made at the provincial government through November 20th.


공항 예정부지 '개발행위허가 제한지역' 지정

제2공항이 들어서는 성산읍 5개 마을이 개발행위허가 제한지역으로 지정됐습니다.

제주특별자치도는 제2공항 개발 예정지인 서귀포시 성산읍 온평리와 신산리, 고성리, 수산리, 난산리 등 5개 마을 586만 1천 제곱미터를 개발행위허가 제한지역으로 지정했습니다.

이에따라 앞으로 3년 동안 이 지역에서는 건축물의 건축이나 공작물 설치, 토지 형질변경, 토석 채취 등이 제한됩니다.

제주도는 오는 20일까지 이의신청을 통해 민원을 접수할 계획입니다.
