Land auctions heat up in Seongsan
Winning bids four times higher than appraised values

Land auctions are heating up in Seongsan following last week’s announcement that it will be the site of Jeju’s second airport.

According to Jeju District Court, the first land auction since the announcement was held on Monday, and a 600-square-meter plot of woodland in Sinpoong-ri, Seongsan-eup was sold at 43 million won… over four times higher than the appraised value of 9.9 million won.

Winning bids averaged 433 percent of the initial bidding price at Monday’s auction... an all-time high for Jeju. The figure topped last September’s 133 percent.

There were also an average of 31 bidders Monday for every plot of land on the auction block.


<'제2공항' 성산읍 경매시장 과열…감정가 4배>

서귀포시 성산읍 지역이 제2공항 건설 예정지로 결정되면서 토지 경매시장도 들썩이고 있습니다.

제주지방법원에 따르면, 제2공항 계획이 발표된후 처음으로 열린 오늘(16일) 경매에서 성산읍 신풍리 600여 제곱미터 임야가 감정가 993만 원의 4배가 넘는 4천 300만 원에 낙찰됐습니다.

이번 경매의 낙찰가율은 433%로, 제주에서 진행된 경매 낙찰가율 가운데 지난 9월 평균 133% 이후 가장 높았습니다.

토지 낙찰을 위한 경쟁률도 31대 1을 기록해 공항 예정지 발표 이후 이 지역에 쏠린 높은 관심을 보여줬습니다.
