Women’s rights groups protest casino prostitution
Monday sit-ins at provincial office, council, police agency

Six women’s rights groups, including the Jeju Association for Women’s Rights, staged sit-in protests Monday, urging for an end to prostitution at casinos.

The sit-ins were held in front of the Jeju provincial government, the provincial council, and the provincial police agency. They were organized in response to recent revelations that prostitution is customarily involved in casino operations in Jeju.

The protesters urged police to impose heavy penalties on those involved and they insisted that the provincial government and council conduct further investigations into the casino industry.

이와 함께 제주도와 도의회에 카지노 개발사업에 대한 전면 재검토를 촉구했습니다.
