Free public bus rides for senior citizens beginning next year
No time restrictions for riders over the age of 70

Intra-city buses will be completely free of charge for senior citizens starting next year.

The provincial government announced Monday it is revising the current regulation on public buses, and that it will accept public opinion on the matter through November 26th. The revised legislation will then be submitted at the extra session of the provincial council in December.

Currently, anyone over the age of 70 can use public buses on intra-city routes free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the proposed revision has no time restriction. The change is expected to go into effect next year.

주요내용을 보면 현재 70살인 어르신에 대해 시내 공영버스 무료탑승시간을 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지로 한정하고 있으나 내년부터 시간에 구애됨 없이 전면 허용하는 내용을 담고 있습니다.
