490,658 eligible to vote next year
About 10% more than in last legislative election

490,658. That’s the number of people in Jeju who will be eligible to vote in next year’s legislative election.

According to the Jeju branch of the National Election Commission, as of the end of October, the population in Jeju stood at just over 621,000… of which about 490,000 will be over the age of 19 and eligible to vote in the April 13th election. That’s about 49,000 more potential voters than in the last legislative election, which was in 2012.

By district, there will be about 189,000 eligible voters in Jeju City District A and 168,000 in Jeju City District B. In Seogwipo, some 133,000 people will be able to cast ballots.

Based on these figures, the National Election Commission in Jeju will soon announce how much each candidate can spend on campaigning and the number of publicity materials they can distribute in their district.


내년 제주 국회의원 선거인수 49만 658명

내년 4.13 국회의원 선거인수가 49만 658명으로 집계됐습니다.

제주특별자치도선거관리위원회에 따르면 지난달 31일 기준으로 제주지역 인구수는 62만 1천 여명으로 이 가운데 19살 이상은 49만여 명으로 집계됐습니다.

유권자수의 경우 지난 2012년 19대 국회의원 선거 당시에 비해 4만 9천명 늘어난 것입니다.

선거구별 유권자수를 보면제주시 갑 지역이 18만 9천여명, 을 선거구 16만 8천여명, 서귀포시 13만 3천여명 등입니다.

제주도선관위은 이같은 인구수를 기준으로 선거구별 선거비용제한액과 예비후보별 홍보물 수량을 정해 공고할 예정입니다.
