Jeju French Film Festival underway
Through Sunday at Jeju Movie and Culture Art Center

The 6th annual Jeju French Film Festival kicked off its four-day run on Thursday at the Jeju Movie and Culture Art Center.

Organized by the Jeju International Culture Exchange Association, the festival opened with a special graffiti art performance that was held in memory of the victims of last week’s terror attacks in Paris.

“Clouds of Sils Maria” was the first film that was screened. Written and directed by Olivier Assayas and starring Juliette Binoche and Kristen Stewart, the movie is the story of a veteran actress.

Some 20 French films will be screened at the festival, which ends on Sunday.



제주프랑스영화제 개막…추모 행사 열려

제 6회 제주프랑스 영화제가 오늘 제주영화문화예술센터에 개막했습니다.

사단법인 제주국제문화교류협회가 주관하는 이번 영화제는 사전 개막 행사로 지난 13일 프랑스 파리에서 일어난 테러 희생자들을 추모하기 위한 그래피티 아트 퍼포먼스가 진행했습니다.

올해 제주프랑스 영화제에는 예술과 여성에 대한 우아하고 섬세한 이야기를 담은 올리비에 아사야스 감독의 '클라우즈 오브 실스마리아'의 개막작을 시작으로 모두 20여편의 다양한 영화가 선보이고 있습니다.

또 씨네토크와 특강, 제주시 원도심 옛길 탐험 등 다양한 부대행사도 진행됩니다.
