1,200 tons of Jeju cabbages to be exported to Japan
First shipment of 18 tons sent on Friday

Exports of this year’s locally-grown cabbages are underway.

18 tons was shipped Friday in this year’s first batch. Through April, a total of 1,200 tons will be exported to Japan.

Jeju has been exporting cabbages to Japan since 2004. The running total currently stands at 13,000 tons, for which the Japanese have paid 7.5 billion won. That makes cabbage one of Jeju’s main agricultural exports.


제주산 양배추 1천 200톤 일본 수출

오늘부터 제주산 양배추가 일본으로 수출됩니다.

제주도농업기술원에 따르면 오늘 제주산 양배추 18톤 수출을 시작으로 내년 4월까지 1천 2백톤이 일본으로 수출됩니다.

지난 2004년부터 12년 째 일본으로 수출되고 있는 제주산 양배추는 누적 수출량은 1만 3천여 톤, 수출액은 75억 원으로 대일 수출 작물 가운데 양란과 함께 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있습니다.
