Winter arrives in Jeju
Storm dumps 70 cm of snow on Hallasan Mountain

The rain and snow stopped Friday but temperatures remained relatively low.

A high pressure system kept skies cloudy throughout the day, with afternoon highs ranging from eight to ten degrees.

Witsae Oreum on Hallsan Mountain got 70 centimeters of snow between Wednesday and Friday. Jindallae-bat got 52 centimeters and Eorimok, 33.5.

Some smaller ferries remained confined to port after authorities issued a high seas watch.

Skies look likely to remain cloudy over the weekend, but the mercury will be inching back up into the normal range in the low teens.
