Ticket if caught on video illegally parked for over 20 minutes
Rule extends to all eup and myeon districts beginning next year

Starting next year, drivers in Jeju will be charged for illegal parking if caught on video surveillance for more than 20 minutes in all (읍) eup and (면) myeon districts on the island.

(표선면) Pyoseon-myeon in Seogwipo had been the exception, allowing drivers to park in non-parking areas for up to 30 minutes. But the Jeju Municipal Police says that from 2016, time restrictions will be unified to 20 minutes in all rural districts.

The time limit for urban (동) dong districts will remain at 10 minutes.

<읍면지역 CCTV 단속 기준 20분으로 일원화>

내년부터 읍면지역 주정차 단속용 CCTV 단속기준시간이 20분으로 통일됩니다.

제주도자치경찰단은 내년부터 서귀포시 표선면을 포함해 모든 읍면지역 주정차단속용 CCTV 운영시간을 20분으로 통일한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 표선면의 경우 지금까지 단속기준 시간이 30분으로 적용해 왔지만 내년부터는 20분으로 축소됩니다.

한편 자치경찰단은 주정차 단속용 CCTV 단속 기준시간을 동지역은 10분, 읍면지역은 20분으로 운영해오고 있습니다.
