Jeju Red Cross begins annual charity drive
Aiming for \950m by end of January

The Jeju Red Cross on Tuesday kicked off its annual fundraising drive at its local headquarters.

The ceremony was attended by Vice governor for administrative affairs… Kwon Young-soo… Superintendent of education Lee Seok-mun… and some 200 volunteers.

The Jeju Red Cross is aiming to collect 950 million won for use in 2016. The drive will continue through January 31st. Donations will be used for rescue efforts, volunteer work, and local healthcare services for Jeju’s most vulnerable residents.

적십자 회비 모금 선포식 열려…9억 5천만 원 목표

2016년도 적십자 회비 모금 선포식이 오늘(1일) 오후 제주적십자사 강당에서 열렸습니다.

오늘 선포식은 권영수 제주도 행정부지사, 이석문 교육감과 봉사원 등 200여명이 참석한 가운데 모금 시작을 알리는 모금함 제막과 특별회비 전달 등으로 진행됐습니다.

이번 적십자 회비 목표 모금액은 9억 5천만 원으로 내년 1월 31일까지 모금활동이 진행되며 모인 회비는 도내 취약계층의 구호활동, 사회봉사, 지역보건활동 등에 사용됩니다.
