Ed. committee cuts labor costs, increases daycare budget
Over \7b shifted to free daycare program

The provincial council’s education committee has decided to cut back on labor costs at the provincial office of education and increase next year’s budget for the Nuri Program, which offers free daycare for children aged 3 to 5.

An additional 7.6 billion won will be used to subsidize daycare at centers across Jeju next year. That’s enough to fund the program for two months.

To pay for that increase, labor costs at the education office will be cut by 7.3 billion won, funding for children’s field trips will be slashed by 380 million won, and funding for afterschool activities for children from the low-income bracket will be cut by 190 million won.

도의회 교육위, 인건비 삭감해 누리과정예산 증액

제주도의회 교육위원회가 인건비를 삭감하고 대신 누리과정 예산을 증액했습니다.

제주도의회 교육위원회는 오늘(2일) 내년도 제주도교육청 예산안에 대한 계수조정을 통해 누리과정 지원으로 두달치 어린이집 보육료인 76억3,400만원을 증액했습니다.

반면, 정규직 인건비는 73억 1천 만원을 감액했고, 현장체험 학습지원 3억 8천만원, 저소득층 방과후 학교 자유수강권 지원도 1억 9천만원을 줄였습니다.
