Onpyeong-ri seeks to remove land transaction requirement
As it stands now, local government must approve all sales

In related news, the villagers of Onpyeong-ri have filed a petition to remove the village’s status as a Land Transaction Permission Zone.

Local government approval is required when buying and selling land in a such a zone.

Some 190 villagers signed the petition, saying they objected to the designation because it was made unilaterally without prior consent from the people that currently live in the village. They submitted the petition to the provincial government on Thursday.

The province said it will form a deliberation committee to address the issue.

온평리 '개발행위허가 제한지역' 이의신청

제2공항 예정지 일대를 개발행위허가 제한지역으로 지정 고시하는 것과 관련해 온평리 주민들이 이의신청을 제기했습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 이승이 온평리장은 이의신청 마감일인 오늘 제주도청을 방문해 주민 190여명의 반대 서명이 담긴 이의신청서를 제출했습니다.

주민들은 이의신청서에서 사전협의 없이 개발행위허가 제한지역으로 지정하는 데 반대한다고 밝혔습니다.

제주도는 조만간 심의위원회를 열고 주민 반대 의견을 고려해 개발행위허가 제한지역 고시 여부를 결정할 계획입니다.
