Jeju tap water free of noroviruses
Tests on 25 systems all come back negative

Jeju tap water has again tested safe.

The Jeju Water Resources Headquarters has announced that all 25 water systems it inspected last month tested negative for noroviruses, which cause gastroenteritis, resulting in diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting.

The results, which were announced Friday, also showed that hydrogen ion concentration and turbidity levels were within acceptable levels for drinking water.

수돗물 식중독 유발 '노로바이러스' 불검출

도내 수돗물이 식중독을 유발하는 노로바이러스에 안전한 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주특별자치도 수자원본부는 지난달, 상수도 급수시설 25개소를 대상으로 노로바이러스 검사를 실시한 결과 모든 시설에서 바이러스가 검출되지 않았다고 밝혔습니다.

아울러 수소이온농도와 탁도 검사에서도 모두 먹는 물 수질 기준에 적합한 것으로 조사됐습니다.
