Landing Jeju to get nearly \130b in tax breaks

The Jeju Myths and History Theme Park has been designated a foreign investment zone.

Provincial officials say the designated area covers around 1.1 million square meters of land and will be home to a hotel, theme park and condominiums... in zones A, R, and H of the park.

Foreign investment zones are entitled to tax breaks for five years, including 100 percent exemption from corporate, income, and property taxes.

That means park developer Landing Jeju will receive a tax break equivalent to more than 128 billion won, including 59 billion won in national taxes and 69 billion won in local taxes.

신화역사공원 외국인투자지역 지정…1천 억대 세금 감면

신화역사공원 사업지구가 외국인투자지역으로 지정 고시됐습니다. 제주특별자치도는 지난 4일, 람정제주개발이 추진하는 신화역사공원 A지구와 R지구 H지구에 조성되는 호텔과 테마파크,
콘도미니엄 부지 115만 8천여 제곱미터를 외국인투자지역으로 지정 고시했습니다.

외국인투자지역으로 지정되면 향후 5년 동안 법인세와 취득세, 재산세 100% 감면 등의 세제혜택이 주어집니다.

이에따라 람정제주개발은 외국인투자지역 지정으로 국세 590억 원과 지방세 690억 원 등 모두 1280여 억 원의 세금을 감면받게 됐습니다.
