Seoul omits basic planning expenses for new airport in budget
Province had wanted national government to include \5b in 2016 budget

The national government did not include basic planning expenses for Jeju’s second airport in next year’s budget.

The province had earlier urged the central government to include five billion won to cover those costs, in order to speed up the construction process.

The exclusion of that funding in the 2016 budget means the basic planning for the new facility is likely to be pushed back a year to 2017.

Provincial officials say they will work on getting the funding included in the supplementary budget, which Seoul has yet to announce.

제2공항 기본계획 용역비 내년 국가예산 미반영

내년도 국가 예산에 제주 제2공항 기본계획 수립 용역 예산이 반영되지 않은 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주특별자치도는 공항 건설을 앞당기기 위해 기재부 예비타당성 완료 후 편성되는 제2공항 기본계획 수립용역 예산 50억 원을 미리 반영해 달라고 요청했지만 결국 내년도 국가예산에 포함되지 못했습니다.

이에따라 당초 내년 상반기 예비타당성이 끝난 뒤 하반기부터 실시하려던 기본계획 수립 절차도 2017년으로 늦춰질 것으로 보입니다.

제주도는 미반영된 사업비가 국가 추경예산으로 확보될 수 있도록 중앙절충을 강화하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
