Sports teams arrive in Seogwipo for pre-season training
City expected to earn \36b this winter

Athletic teams from across the nation are coming to Seogwipo for pre-season training.

So far, the list of teams that have signed up for winter training in Seogwipo include 33 soccer, 55 handball, 29 basketball, and 13 baseball teams.

Officials say they have also fielded inquiries about scheduling for teams in track and field, tennis, badminton, and archery.

All told, some 1,400 teams with 35,000 athletes are expected to come for pre-season training, earning Seogwipo some 36 billion won.

동계전지훈련팀의 서귀포 지역 방문이 잇따르고 있습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면 현재까지 접수된 동계전지훈련팀은 축구 33개팀을 비롯해 핸드볼 55개팀, 농구 29개팀, 야구 13개팀에 이르고 있습니다.

또 육상과 테니스, 배드민턴, 양궁 등 여러 종목의 동계전지훈련팀의 문의가 잇따르고 있습니다.

서귀포시는 이번 동계전지훈련기간에 1천 400 여개팀에 3만 5천여명의 선수단을 유치해
360억원의 경제적 파급효과를 기대하고 있습니다.
