‘More dialogue needed with residents of new airport site’
Governor also says real estate speculation must end

In related news, the governor says more dialogue is needed with the people who live near the site chosen for the new airport and that real estate speculation in the area must come to an end.

Won Heeryong made the comments Wednesday during a public briefing session. He said it was only natural for residents of the area to express their opinions about the government’s decision to turn their communities into an airport, and asked officials to expand communication with them and provide accurate information as needed.

In regards to real estate speculation in the area, Won urged officials to quickly address potential problems and come up with measures to put an end to illegal land transactions… in order to stabilize future housing prices.
