Province removes 500 banners, fines company \40m

In related news, the provincial government has fined a company for putting up illegal banners advertising real estate related to the new airport location.

Provincial officials said Tuesday that authorities had removed 500 of the banners and fined the company 40 million won.

The province also says it plans to strengthen penalties regarding these types of illegal advertisements.

Authorities have reported almost 100,000 cases of the illegal ads this year alone.

제2공항과 관련해 대량으로 불법 분양 현수막을 설치한 업체가 적발됐습니다.

제주시는 도로변 등 광고물 설치가 금지된 장소에 설치된 불법 분양 현수막 500장을 철거하고
해당 업체에 대해 4천만원의 과태료 처분을 예고했습니다.

특히 부동산 관련 허위.과장광고로 인한 피해를 예방하기 위해 불법 광고물에 대한 단속과 행정처분을 강화할 방침입니다.

한편 제주시가 올들어 지금까지 단속한 불법 광고물은 10만 건에 달합니다.
