Renovations to begin at Joongang Shopping Mall
Aboveground work to be done through March 2016

Workers will soon begin renovating the Joongang underground shopping center.

The provincial government said Wednesday that, in line with an agreement made with tenants, aboveground renovation work will begin first. All lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning facilities will be repaired or upgraded through March of next year.

Renovations in the underground part of the mall will begin that same month. The total space will be divided into five sections for that work.

중앙지하상가 개·보수 공사 본격

제주시 중앙지하상가 개보수 공사가 본격적으로 이뤄집니다.

제주시는 지하상가 상인회와의 합의에 따라 지상부에 대한 공사를 먼저 실시하기로 하고 지난 10일 개보수 공사를 발주했다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 지상부 공사는 내년 3월까지 상가 영업과는 무관한 노후된 전기시설과 공조설비 등을 정비하게 됩니다.

제주시는 지하부에 대해서는 내년 3월 신학기 이후에 5개구간으로 나눠 개보수 공사에 들어갈 계획입니다.
