2nd Jeju Science Park to be Land Transaction Permission Zone
Government approval to be required for real estate sales

The area where the second Jeju Science Park is set to be built, which includes Wolpyeong-dong and Yeongpyeong-dong, is expected to be named a Land Transaction Permission Zone.

The provincial government said Wednesday that in order to prevent real estate speculation, the district will be designated as such for two years beginning December 20th. The area in question covers 279 plots of land, amounting to 1.18 square kilometers.

Once designated a Land Transaction Permission Zone, all transactions of farmland larger than 500 square meters and woodland larger than 1,000 square meters will require government approval.

제2첨단과학기술단지가 조성되는 제주시 월평동과 영평동 일대가 토지거래허가구역으로 지정될 전망입니다.

제주특별자치도는 사업지구의 투기 방지를 위해 오는 20일부터 2년 동안 월평동과 영평동 279필지 1.18제곱킬로미터를 토지거래허가구역으로 지정하기로 했습니다.

토지거래허가구역에서는 농지는 500제곱미터, 임야는 1천 제곱미터를 초과할 경우 토지를 매매할때 반드시 행정시장의 허가를 받아야 합니다.
