Bigger market for Jeju’s agricultural specialties
Four-way agreement signed Monday

The provincial government, the Agricultural and Food Products Cooperative Headquarters, Nonghyup Jeju, and Homeplus signed an agreement Monday to expand sales of Jeju’s agricultural specialties.

Each of the parties will now work together to promote and expand the distribution of key products. Homeplus, the retail chain owned by Tesco, has also agreed to allocate more space in its stores to Jeju specialties.

A special committee will oversee the process to ensure that all four organizations abide by the terms of their agreement.

제주 농특산물 판로확대 상생업무협약

제주특별자치도와 농식품상생협력추진본부, 농협중앙회 제주지역본부, 홈플러스가 오늘(22일) 오전 제주도청 삼다홀에서 제주 농특산물 판로확대를 위한 상생업무협약을 체결했습니다.

이에 따라 이들 기관은 제주도 농특산물 직거래 확대와 유통기반 확충, 주력상품 홍보 등을 위해 상호 협력 체계를 구축합니다.

특히 대형마트인 홈플러스는 매장 내 제주 농특산물 취급을 확대합니다.

또 협의 내용을 원활히 이행하기 위해 이들 네개 기관으로 구성된 상생협의회를 운영할 계획입니다.
