Kim Man-duk Memorial Hall donates 1,000 kg of rice to needy
New contributions bring yearly total to 5,000 kg

The Kim Man-duk Memorial Hall on Tuesday donated 1,000 kilograms of rice to the provincial government’s health and welfare bureau.

The rice was collected through donations by visitors, Jeju residents, and people who live off the island. It will be delivered to childcare centers across the island.

The Kim Man-duk Memorial Hall has been donating rice since earlier this year. It has given away 5,000 kilograms to people in need in 2015.

김만덕기념관이 연말을 맞아 오늘(22일) 오후 제주특별자치도 보건복지여성국에 나눔쌀을 기탁했습니다

이번에 기탁한 쌀은 관람객과 도내·외 기부자들이 모은 쌀 1천 킬로그램으로 도내 아동보육시설 등에 전달될 예정입니다.

한편, 김만덕기념관은 지난 5월 쌀 2천 킬로그램을 시작으로 지금까지 5천 킬로그램의 쌀을 어려운 가구에 전달했습니다.
