Jeju CPI sees slowest growth in decade
Consumer price index rose just 0.6% year-on-year in 2015

In 2015, Jeju’s consumer price index rose at the slowest pace in a decade.

According to the Jeju branch of the Honam Regional Office of Statistics, Jeju’s consumer price index last year, rose 0.6 percent year-on-year to 108.90.

In the service sector, the rents and medical expenses increased 1.5 percent, while the price of industrial goods dropped 0.9 percent.

The Office of Statistics cited the slowing economy and a drop in oil prices as the main reasons for the sluggish growth rate.

호남지방통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 올해 제주지역 소비자물가지수는 108.90으로 지난해보다 0.6퍼센트 오르며
최근 10년 동안 가장 낮은 상승률을 기록했습니다.

상품별로 보면 집세와 진료비 등 서비스 부문이 1.5퍼센트 상승했고,
공업제품은 0.9퍼센트 하락했습니다.

통계청은 경기부진과 유가 하락 등으로 인해
소비자물가가 0%대로 떨어진 것으로 분석하고 있습니다.
