SMS alert service launches

A special text-messaging alert service for Jeju residents is now up and running.

The province has started providing alerts to the roughly 80,000 people who applied for the service. It is sending them information on typhoons, heavy rain, and heavy snow as well as the latest on power and water supply outages.

Anyone who would like to apply may do so through the Jeju Disaster Prevention and Countermeasures Headquarters’ homepage.

제주도민을 대상으로 한 재난문자 송출서비스가 이뤄집니다.

제주특별자치도는 올해부터 사전 신청을 받은
제주도민 8만명을 대상으로 태풍과 호우, 폭설 등
각종 재난문자 송출서비스를 제공합니다.

특히 정전이나 단수 등 주민생활에 불편을 초래하는 분야도 이번 서비스에 포함됩니다.

재난문자 송출서비스를 받기 위해서는
제주도 재난안전대책본부 홈페이지에서 신청하면 됩니다.
