Stricter safety protocols for large events
Plans must be submitted for all events attended by 1,000 or more people

Safety regulations are being strengthened for large events.

In line with a newly-proclaimed law on safety regulations, it is now mandatory that the organizers of all outdoor events attended by 1,000 or more people and sponsored by Jeju... submit safety management plans to the provincial government ahead of time.

This regulation had only applied to events with 3,000 or more participants.

The province will also boost inspections to ensure that the organizers of large events implement the safety procedures as planned.

1천명 이상 대형행사 '안전관리' 의무화

앞으로 대형행사에 따른 안전관리가 강화됩니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 옥외행사의 안전관리에 관한 조례가 공포됨에 따라 제주도의 후원 명칭을 사용하거나 보조금을 받는 야외행사 가운데
1천명이상이 참여할 경우 사전에 안전관리계획을 제출해야 합니다.

지금까지 안전관리계획 제출은 3천명 이상으로 한정돼 있었습니다.

제주도는 제출된 안전관리계획대로 진행되는지에 대한 점검을 강화할 계획입니다.
