Multicultural families to receive more financial support
Province to spend nearly \2b on various initiatives this year

Financial support for multicultural families will be expanded.

The provincial government has announced that it will spend this year some 1.9 billion won programs to help non-Korean spouses find employment and the children of multicultural families adjust to Korean society, as well as on other initiatives.

Rural residents will also be able to apply for extra funding by submitting ideas on how to improve life for multicultural families outside of the city.

다문화가족에 대한 지원사업이 확대됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 올해 사업비 19억 9천 500만 원을 투입해
결혼이민자 맞춤형 취업지원과 다문화가족 자녀사회통합 지원,
인식개선 프로그램 등 다양한 사업을 추진합니다.

특히 지방보조금 지원사업의 경우에는 공모 형식의 비중을 높임으로써,
다양한 현장의 아이디어를 정책에 반영할 계획입니다.
