Fair election support squad to soon begin official work
Legislative elections scheduled for April 13

With just over two months to go until voters head to the polls on April 13th, the Jeju Provincial Election Commission has launched a fair election support squad.

The 60-member squad will begin official duties February 15th and monitor campaigns for illegal activities, focusing on five that were narrowed down by the election commission: making illegal donations, spreading false rumors, taking bribes, disseminating misleading information through the media, and conducting illegal polls.

제주특별자치도선거관리위원회 공정선거지원단 발대식이
오늘 제주도선관위에서 열렸습니다.

제주도선관위가 공모를 통해 선정한 공정선거지원단 60명은
오는 15일부터 4월 13일 총선 투표일까지 불법 선거운동에 대한
모니터링을 강화하고 공정선거 캠페인을 벌입니다.

제주도선관위는 기부나 흑색선전, 금품수수, 언론의 허위 왜곡보도,
불법선거여론조사를 5대 중대 선거범죄로 규정하고
지도와 단속을 강화할 방침입니다.
