\33b set aside for weather-damaged farms
Farmers have struggled to deal with rain, snow since October

The provincial government has created a special support fund for farms damaged by the inclement weather over the past several months.

The province will distribute a total of 33.3 billion won in compensation for some of the damage caused by the heavy rain and snow farmers have been dealing with since October.

10.4 billion won of that is earmarked for mandarin orange groves. Winter vegetable farms are also eligible to receive financial support.

In the meantime, farmers can now apply for low-interest agricultural loans from the 360-billion-won agricultural promotion fund. That aid has been readied a month earlier than initially planned to help ease the financial burden on farmers.

폭설·한파 피해농가 특별지원…330억 투입

폭설과 한파 등으로 냉해 피해를 입은 농가에 특별 지원이 이뤄집니다.

제주도는 국비와 지방비 등 모두 333억 원을 들여
지난해 10월 이후 잦은 비날씨와 이번 폭설과 한파 피해를 입은 농가를 특별지원한다고 밝혔습니다.

세부적으로는 냉해 피해를 입은 감귤 농가에는
모두 104억 원이 투입돼 시장격리 조치가 이뤄지며
물류비와 선과료가 지원됩니다.

또 월동채소 피해 농가에도 뿌리혹병 방제비와 포장재 지원사업이 이뤄집니다.

이와 함께 농가의 경영 안정을 위한 농어촌진흥기금 3천600억 원도 한달 앞당긴 이달부터 융자금 신청을 받기로 했습니다.
