Yongam Haesu Industrial Complex ramps up
Bottled water, cosmetics, food items hit store shelves

Business is now in full swing at the new Yongam Haesu Industrial Complex in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City.

According to an update on the complex by the provincial government, bottled water supplier J-Creation began producing bottled mineral water from August last year and has made its way into the Chinese market. The report also said the cosmetics company Cotde (콧데) began operations in March 2015, manufacturing natural organic cosmetics. Food supplier BK Bio, meanwhile, launched a new juice beverage using lava bedrock sea water.

Companies such as Jeju Mineral Salt and Doore (두래) are in the process of building factories to manufacture their latest products, which are expected to hit store shelves this year.

제주시 구좌읍 용암해수산업단지에 입주한 기업들의 제품 개발이
본격화되고 있습니다.

제주도에 따르면 입주기업인 주식회사 제이크리에이션은
지난해 8월부터 탄산수 제품을 생산하며 중국 시장 개척에 들어갔습니다.

주식회사 콧데 역시 지난해 3월부터 본격적인
천연 유기농화장품 생산을 시작했고
주식회사 비케이바이오는 지난해 11월부터 용암해수를 활용한
과채 쥬스 등의 제품을 출시했습니다.

이 밖에도 제주미네랄솔트와 주식회사 두래 등이
올해 시제품과 원료 생산을 위한 공장 건설에 들어갈 예정입니다.
