Yonhap is reporting that the chief of North Korea's military was executed this month on corruption and other charges. Sources familiar with North Korean affairs said Wednesday that Army Gen. Ri Yong-gil Ri was executed last week.

‘SK working on safe return of citizens from NK’
A presidential spokesman said Thursday that South Korea will take all necessary measures to ensure that its citizens can return home safely from a troubled inter-Korean factory park in North Korea. On Wednesday, South Korea announced that it has decided to completely shut down the Kaesong industrial park in retaliation for the North’s recent nuclear test and long-range rocket launch.
