\7.8b set aside to repair storm damage
Record-breaking snow and cold last month devastated 2,400 ha of farmland

Jeju will spend 7.8 billion won to repair damage caused by last month’s record-breaking snow and cold wave.

The province finalized its damage reports on Sunday. It has allocated nearly 3.2 billion won to restore farms across the island, some 3.6 billion won to repair other private facilities, and around one billion won for public facilities.

Two thousand four hundred hectares of farmland was damaged last month, with the total price tag for agricultural devastation estimated at nearly six billion won.

제주특별자치도가 지난달 발생한 폭설과 한파 피해 복구에
78억 원을 투입합니다.

제주도는 어제(14일)까지 폭설과 한파 피해 신고 접수를 마무리하고
사유시설 피해 복구에 36억1천만원
공공시설에는 10억8천만원 등
46억9천만원을 지원하기로 했습니다.

또 피해 농가에 시설 융자금으로 31억 9천만원을 지원할 계획입니다.

지난달 폭설로 인한 농작물과 시설물 피해는 2천 4백 헥타르에
피해액은 59억 8천 만 원으로 최종 집계됐습니다.
