Jeju to subsidize purchase of 4,000 electric vehicles
Application period begins February 19

The provincial government will subsidize the purchase of 4,000 new electric vehicles this year.

Interested buyers can choose from among seven models of passenger cars and one truck model.

The province will kick in 19 million won per vehicle, regardless of the model. An extra 4 million won in grants is available for battery chargers, which can be bought separately.

The first round of applications runs from February 19th to March 4th at electric vehicle dealerships across the island. The second round is expected to begin March 18th.

제주특별자치도가 올해 전기차 4천 대를 보급합니다.

제주도에 따르면 올해 보급되는 전기차는
승용차 7종과 전기화물차 1종 등
모두 8종입니다.

제주도는 차종에 관계없이 1천 9백만 원의 구매 보조금을
지원하고 충전기 설치를 원할 경우
4백만 원을 추가 보조합니다.

전기차 신청 접수는 오는 19일부터 다음달 4일까지
도내 전기차 판매 대리점에서 가능하며
2차 신청 접수는 3월 18일부터 진행됩니다.
