Seogwipo to use aerial drone for land surveys
City to survey nearly 1,000 plots in Wollabong region

For the first time, Seogwipo will use an aerial drone to clarify land borders that are marked on historic registration maps drawn up during the Japanese colonial period.

The municipal government says it will use a drone to survey 990 plots of land in the Wollabong (월라봉) region, stretching across Sanghyo-dong (상효동) and Shinhyo-dong (신효동).

This is expected to yield clear images to replace the blurry ones from previous surveys conducted by satellite and airplane.

Seogwipo officials say they hope to utilize drones for other projects in the future, as they are capable of taking accurate, high-definition images in a relatively short amount of time.

일제강점기때 작성된 지적도가 실제 토지경계와 일치하는지 정리하는
지적재조사 사업에 제주에서는 처음으로 드론 즉 무인비행장치가 도입됩니다.

서귀포시는 상효동과 신효동 일대 월라봉지구 990필지에
드론으로 항공사진을 촬영해 지적재조사 사업에 활용하기로 했습니다.

해상도가 떨어지는 기존의 위성사진이나 항공사진을
드론으로 촬영한 고해상고 사진으로 대체해
지적도의 실제 경계가 일치하는지 등을 점검하게 됩니다.

서귀포시는 지적재조사 사업에 드론을 도입하면
측량의 정확도가 높아지고 사업기간이 단축될 것으로 기대된다며
앞으로 다른 곳으로 확대해 나가기로 했습니다.
