Safety checks at major construction sites
Inspectors to probe 17 projects next month

The provincial government will conduct safety checks at large-scale construction sites next month.

17 areas will be examined, all of which are either worth at least five billion won or larger than 10,000 square meters in size.

The province will check the foundations of the projects, as well as the safety of underground facilities, basement walls, and stonework.

If the work is found to be either causing environmental damage or inconsistent with the plans approved by the local government, authorities may halt construction and/or impose other penalties.

道, 대규모 개발사업장 안전진단 실시

제주특별자치도가 대규모 개발사업장에 대한 안전진단을 실시합니다.

안전진단 대상은 사업비 규모가 50억 이상이거나 연면적 1만제곱미터 이상인 관광단지나 관광지로, 신화역사공원과 헬스케어타운 등 17군뎁니다.

주요점검내용을 보면 기초지반이나 지하굴착부의 이상 유무,
옹벽이나 석축 등 시설물, 공사현장의 안전관리 사항 등입니다.

제주도는 점검결과 환경훼손이나 인허가 사항과 다르게 공사하는 경우
공사정지 또는 벌점을 부과한다는 방침입니다.
