Jeju’s mortgage market grew the most in Korea
Up 33.2% year-on-year in 2015

Mortgage loans in Jeju increased at the highest level in the nation last year, reflecting the real estate boom here.

According to a new Bank of Korea report, Jeju residents borrowed a total of 3.2 trillion won with real estate as collateral last year, up 33.2 percent year-on-year. This was around double the rate of increase observed in 2014, when the figure stood at 16.9 percent, and the biggest increase nationwide.

The next largest increase in mortgage loans was in Sejong City at 26.3 percent, followed by Gyeongbuk Province at 21 percent, Daegu at 19.7 percent and Chungnam Province at 15 percent.

전국에서 가장 크게 늘어난 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국은행의 가계신용 통계에 따르면
지난해 제주지역의 주택담보대출 잔액은
3조 2천 300억원으로
전년에 비해 33.2%인 8천억원 늘어난 것으로 조사됐습니다.

이같은 증가율은 전국 17개 시도 가운데 가장 높은 것이며
2014년 증가율인 16.9%에 비해서도 갑절이나 증가한 것입니다.

제주에 이어 주택담보대출이 높은 지역은
세종시로 26.3%, 다음이 경북 21%, 대구 19.7%, 충남 15%를 보였습니다.
