Community Chest donated \9.5b to underprivileged in 2015
Money will be used to cover medical costs, fund youth services, etc.

The Community Chest of Korea donated nearly 9.5 billion won last year to the underprivileged in Jeju.

That total includes 1.2 billion won provided by the Honor Society and 300 million won donated through the Good Store campaign. The Community Chest delivered the grand total of about 9.48 billion won in contributions to welfare centers and shelters for the elderly in Jeju.

The money will be used this year to support the welfare centers, pay for medical expenses for the underprivileged, and fund youth care services.

사회복지공동모금회, 소외계층에 94억 지원

제주사회복지공동모금회가 지난해 제주도내 사회복지시설과 소외계층에 94억여 원을 지원했습니다.

공동모금회는 지난해 아너소사이어티 모금액 12억 7천여 만 원과 착한가게 모금액 3억 여 원, 공동모금회 지원금을 포함한 94억 7천 7백만 원을 도내 복지시설과 노인 다문화 단체 등에 전달했습니다.

전달된 후원금은 복지시설 지원과 의료생계비, 아동 청소년 돌봄서비스 지원 사업 등에 쓰여집니다.
