Berjaya Jeju Resort seeking compensation from JDC

A huge compensation lawsuit over the Yerae Resort Complex in Seogwipo, on which construction has ground to a halt, began Monday at Seoul Central District Court.

Attorneys from both sides delivered their opening statements and worked out future trial dates.

The project developer, Berjaya Jeju Resort, is seeking 350 billion won in compensation from the Jeju Free International City Development Center for halting the project, which it claims was a breach of contract that resulted in significant financial losses.

All parties will reconvene April fourth for the next stage in the trial.

공사 중단에 따른 양측 입장을 전달하고 향후 일정 등을 조율했습니다.

사업시행사인 버자야제주리조트는 장기간 공사 중단으로 막대한 피해를 입었다며
JDC 를 상대로 3천 5백억 원대 토지매매 계약위반 손해배상청구소송을 제기했습니다.

이들에 대한 2차 변론은 다음달 4일 열립니다.
