Illegal cosmetic surgery school busted
Facility allegedly earned over \450m since September

Six people have been caught for allegedly operating an illegal cosmetic surgery school in Jeju.

Police say a 35-year-old Chinese-Korean man identified only by his last name Fan initially opened a plastic surgery hospital in September in Nohyeong-dong, by using the license of a Korean doctor named Yoo. The hospital was then run as a private cosmetic surgery school with five other people, including a 29-year-old woman surnamed Kim, who taught classes in beauty arts. Together they illegally instructed people in how to conduct eyebrow lifts and other cosmetic operations.

The institute charged as much as 1.8 million won per trainee and taught some 250 people… raking in over 450 million won.

The Korean doctor that lent his license to the group was also found to have received monthly commissions of 20 million won from Fan to maintain the business.

귀화 중국인과 한국인 의사 등 6명이 무더기로 경찰에 적발됐습니다.

제주지방경찰청에 따르면 귀화 중국인인 35살 판 모씨는 지난해 9월부터 최근까지 제주시 노형동에서 한국인 의사 35살 유 모씨의 명의로 성형외과를 차려놓고
미용강사 29살 김 모 여인 등 5명과
불법 눈썹 성형시술을 가르치는 학원을 운영한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

이들은 이러한 방식으로 중국인 여성 1명당
많게는 180만 원의 수강료로 받는 등 모두 250여 명을 상대로
4억 5천만 원을 받아 챙긴 것으로 드러났습니다.

특히 한국인 의사 유 씨는 자신의 명의로 개설된 병원에서
귀화 중국인 판 씨로부터 매월 2천만 원의 월급을 받으며
의료행위를 했던 것으로 경찰조사결과 확인됐습니다.
