Expansion of foreign language emergency broadcast system
Dozens of more accommodations to be equipped this year

Emergency instructions at dozens of accommodations across Jeju will be offered in foreign languages this year, to accommodate the rising number of international guests staying at the facilities.

The Jeju Fire Station has already installed an emergency public address system that broadcasts in four different languages at 31 accommodations, and it says it will continue the rollout to 56 more facilities this year.

Written instructions on how to use descending lifelines and other emergency tools will also be provided in the four languages.

제주소방서는 1, 2급 소방안전관리대상 31군데에 4개 국어 비상방송설비를 구축한데 이어 올해까지 숙박시설을 포함해 56군데에
외국어 비상방송안내 시스템을 설치합니다.

이와함께 완강기 등 피난기구에도 4개 국어로 표기된 사용설명서를 부착하도록 행정지도해 나갈 방침입니다.
