Fewer transactions after crackdown on real estate speculation
Number of land sales drops from 9,100 in December to 5,900 in February

There have been fewer land transactions since the provincial government launched a crackdown on real estate speculation.

13 million square meters of land changed hands in December, 7.5 million in January, and 5.8 million in February.

Looked at another way, the number of plots sold dropped more than 35 percent from 9,100 in December to about 5,900 last month.

The provincial government says it has uncovered 190 illegal land transactions since the end of last year, when it launched the crackdown.
Authorities will continue to screen transactions around major development sites to root out speculation.

부동산 투기 단속의 영향으로
올해 토지거래가 크게 줄어든 것으로
나타났습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 최근 3개월간 토지거래면적은
지난해 12월 1천 3백만 제곱미터에서
올해 1월 7천 5백만 제곱미터
지난달 580만 제곱미터로 급감했습니다.

토지거래 필지수도 지난해 12월 9천 1백여 필지에서
지난달 5천 9백여 필지로 35% 이상 감소했습니다.

제주특별자치도는 지난해 말부터 올해 현재까지
불법 형질변경과 농지 목적외 사용 등 부동산 관련 불법행위
190건을 적발했고 올해도 공항만과 주요 개발지역을
중심으로 부동산 투기행위를 적극 단속할 방침입니다.
