April 3rd memorial events lined up
March 20?April 10 designated as official mourning period

The provincial government has designated March 20th through April 10th as an official mourning period for the victims of the Jeju April 3rd Incident… and a number of events are lined up to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the dark chapter in island history.

The main memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on April 3rd, following a preliminary event that is slated to begin at 9:10 a.m.

Other programs lined up to mark the occasion include an art exhibition, a street march, testimonials by surviving witnesses, memorial rituals, youth discussions, and a festival on the eve of the memorial day.

4.3 희생자 추념기간으로 정해 다양한 행사를 추진합니다.

우선 4.3 추념식이 다음달 3일 오전 9시 10분 식전행사를 시작으로
오전 10시에는 본행사가 봉행됩니다.

또 4.3 68주년 기념 미술초대전과 4.3 알리기 거리행진,
증언본풀이, 해원방사탑제, 청소년 이야기 마당,
전야제 등 다채로운 프로그램이 열릴 예정입니다.
