Registration open to vote by mail
Qualifying voters may register through Saturday

Voters who are physically unable to cast their ballots at election booths on April 13th can register to vote by mail through this Saturday.

People with immobilizing physical disabilities or people who will be hospitalized or at a nursing home on election day are eligible to vote by mail, as are people residing on remote islets, as defined by the National Election Commission.

This year, (횡간도) Hwenggan-do and (추포도) Chupo-do in Chuja-myeon (추자면) have been added to the list of remote islets.

Those wishing to register to vote by mail can do so through the NEC’s website or in person by visiting their community service center.

내일부터 국회의원 선거 거소투표 신고

제20대 국회의원 선거에 따른 거소 투표 신고가
내일(22일)부터 5일간 각 읍면동 주민센터에서 이뤄집니다.

거소투표신고 대상은 중대한 신체장애로 움직일 수 없거나
투표 당일 병원이나 요양소에 머물고 있는 경우,
중앙선거관리위원회 규칙으로 정하는 외딴 섬에 거주하는 유권자 등입니다.

특히 이번 선거에서 거소투표신고가 가능한 외딴 섬으로
추자면 횡간도와 추포도가 포함돼 이 지역 유권자들은 우편으로 투표를 할 수 있게 됐습니다.

거소투표신고는 읍면동 주민센터에 비치돼 있으며
중앙선관위나 각 행정시의 홈페이지에서 내려 받을 수 있습니다.
